Laurence Ebenezer
The Books,
Cissa Strange made a deal with a demon and she will stop anyone who tries to save her soul.
The day she became a werewolf she made a bargain to bring her brother back from the dead...partly. Turning him into a vampire counts, right? Now, every full moon she is possessed – with deadly consequences.
It’s the way it has to be. As long as Cissa Strange is a villain, her brother is alive.
Takxis Dyme saved the life of his older brother, the owner of The Moon Rise Hotel where Cissa has made her home. Estranged for ten years, Takxis mysteriously returns to the hotel, and it means only one thing: Their devil has a plan for them.
They both made the deal. One will do anything to escape it. The other will do anything to keep it.
The Author,
Laurence Ebenezer is a non-binary writer who lives in Scotland with their partner and stuffed toys. They have been writing fantasy books since they could hold a pen and have always related most to the monsters in fiction. Now, they write the queer characters with stories that don’t revolve around romance that they want to see in the world. They graduated from Bangor University with a Literature & Creative Writing degree in 2019. When not writing, they can be found drawing, reading about, or making sacrifices to the folkloric cryptids that live at the bottom of their garden.
Between the Moon and a Hellish Place is their debut novel, a New Adult, Fantasy-Horror that released in Autumn 2025
